VPNKC / CLIENT SETUP

VPN setup and client configuration

Go from account setup to a verified connection, following the steps for your subscription and device.

Menus and controls vary by platform and client. This guide uses feature names such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Connect”; refer to the labels in your current app. Set up your account and plan first, then import the client. For protocol details and route selection, see the technical reference.

Create an account and open the dashboard

Select “Start Free” below to open the VPNKC user dashboard. On the account creation page, enter a username and password. No email address is required; these credentials are what you’ll use to sign in to the dashboard. Choose a username that’s easy to remember and hard to confuse with another, and use a unique password stored in your password manager. Before submitting, check your entries for mistakes, including any spaces added when switching input methods.

If you already have an account, sign in rather than creating another. After creating your account, open the user dashboard and confirm that it shows the account you just used. If you return to the sign-in page, log in with the same username and password. Don’t look for an installer or enter your account password in the client’s subscription field: your account signs you in to the dashboard, while your subscription gives the client access to routes. Next, choose a plan that suits your needs; once it’s active, you can get your subscription.

If you already have an account, sign in directly. If you need help with an order or connection later, use the paid account associated with the issue to open a support ticket. This helps support match your description to your account status. Sign out of the dashboard after using a shared device, and don’t let the browser save your password.

Choose a plan and complete your order

Open the Plans section in the user dashboard and consider how you’ll use the service. If you need it regularly for work, study, or video, compare the monthly subscription data tiers. If your usage is less predictable and you prefer to budget based on total data used, consider a permanent data package. Choose based on your data needs, not the number of devices: VPNKC supports unlimited devices online at the same time, but their data usage still counts toward your account’s plan.

Monthly subscriptions are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the date you activate your plan, so check the reset date in your account rather than assuming it renews at the start of the calendar month. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Review the calculation shown on the order page before proceeding. Video, downloads, and system updates all use data, so factor in background activity when choosing a tier—not just time spent browsing.

Data packages cost ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. They last until used and never expire. Monthly subscriptions and data packages are billed differently, so don’t apply the monthly reset rules to a data package. If you’re unsure, compare the full details on the Plans page before choosing in the dashboard; there’s no need to keep switching between orders in this guide.

After choosing a plan, check the order name, price, and data allowance. Follow the on-screen instructions to pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Return to your account overview and confirm that the plan status has updated. If it still shows as pending, check the order status before trying again to avoid duplicate payment. VPNKC offers a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. See the refund policy for details on how to request one. Once your plan is active, get your subscription.

Choose this plan

Get your subscription from the account overview

Open the account overview and find the subscription section. Your subscription link lets the client retrieve the routes associated with your account; it isn’t a regular webpage bookmark or a dashboard sign-in link. Before using it, make sure you’re signed in to the account with the active plan. If the account status hasn’t updated, resolve the order issue first instead of repeatedly trying to import an empty list.

If the dashboard offers an import option for your installed client, use that first. Your browser may ask whether to open an external app; check that it’s the client you intend to use before proceeding. If you haven’t installed a client yet, get one from the dashboard’s client download section, then return to the overview. Don’t install an app with a similar name from an unknown source just to complete the import.

To import manually, copy the subscription link from the dashboard, then open the client’s “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or similar section. Paste the link into the address field. The client may also ask for a local name to help identify the configuration; you can use “VPNKC.” Save it, then update or download the configuration and wait for the route list to appear. You should see routes to choose from in the client—not just a saved address.

Treat your subscription link as sensitive information. Don’t post it in group chats, public documents, or screenshots shared for support. You can describe an error message when asking for help, but hide the full subscription link. If the import fails, check that you copied the complete link, that there are no extra spaces at either end, and that you pasted it into the right field. Once you have your subscription, follow the steps for your device below.

Open account overview

Import a client for your device

The client loads your subscription, lets you choose a route, and handles the network requests you want to proxy. VPNKC supports Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux; the steps below cover common desktop and mobile workflows. Sign in to the user dashboard to get your subscription and client; installers aren’t linked directly from marketing pages. Available download options depend on your account status. Follow the instructions for your device and the dashboard.

Get the client

Windows: desktop client with subscription support

In the user dashboard’s downloads section, choose the VPNKC client for Windows. Install it as prompted, then open it. Desktop clients with subscription support usually separate configuration management from route selection. Go to the Configuration or Subscription page, find the option to add a configuration by URL, and paste the subscription link copied from the account overview. Save and update. If you use the dashboard’s import option, allow the browser to open the relevant app, then check that the configuration has loaded in the client.

When the routes appear, select the imported configuration and set it as the active one. Find the system proxy or connection toggle and turn it on as directed by the client. Some clients offer additional network modes; when getting started, stick with the recommended settings rather than enabling every advanced option. Close any other proxy client that’s running to prevent the apps from repeatedly changing your system proxy. Leave the current client running and move on to the final checks.

macOS: desktop client for managing configurations

Choose the macOS client option in the dashboard, install it, then launch it from Applications. Open the configuration manager or subscription section, add the remote configuration URL, and update it. If the dashboard can open the client for you, follow the import prompts and then check the active configuration name and route list. Adding an app to Applications doesn’t mean the subscription has been imported or the connection is active.

Choose a route and turn on the system proxy or the client’s connection feature. If macOS asks to approve a network extension, VPN configuration, or permission, verify the app and the requested action before allowing it. The approval steps may vary by version; follow the prompts in your current system settings. If your browser works but other apps don’t, check whether those apps use the system proxy. For more on these mode differences, see the technical reference; there’s no need to adjust every advanced setting during your first import.

Android: mobile client with subscription support

Get and install the Android client from the user dashboard. Open it and find the configuration, subscription management, or add-remote-configuration option. Paste your subscription link into the address field, save, and update. If Android asks which app to use when importing from the browser, select the client you installed. Once the routes load, open the route list, choose one, and tap the connection toggle.

The first time you connect on Android, the system usually asks whether to allow the app to establish a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm, then make sure the client shows that it’s connected. Battery-saving settings may affect background activity. If the connection drops when you switch apps or lock the screen, check whether system battery management is restricting the client and adjust the setting as your device instructions recommend. Don’t stop at the connection icon in the notification bar—open a webpage you need and test it. For a more detailed installation walkthrough, read Android VPN: A Beginner’s Guide.

iOS: VPN client with subscription support

Check the iOS section in the user dashboard for client instructions, then follow the App Store link or import guide provided there. Installing apps on iOS works differently from desktop systems; don’t use Windows or Android installation files. Once the client is installed, return to the account overview and use the import option that matches the app, if available. To import manually, open the client’s subscription or configuration list, add the remote URL, and update it.

Once the routes have loaded, choose the active configuration and a route, then connect. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, verify the app and approve the request, then follow the system prompts. If the device already has other VPN configurations, make sure the one you intend to use is active. Return to your browser and test access, then check any other apps you need. Subscription updates are usually handled in the client; you don’t need to reinstall the app each time.

Connect to a route and test it

After importing on your device, confirm that the client is using the VPNKC configuration and that the route list isn’t empty. Choose a route and connect. To get started, you can select a visible route in Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, the United States, Australia, Germany, or another listed region. The routes available in your account are the source of truth. A region tells you where traffic exits; it doesn’t guarantee access to every site or a particular connection speed.

Check both the client and your actual access to verify the connection. A successful status in the client means its local connection is active. Next, open a browser and visit an international website you need; check that the page loads fully and works as expected. For AI Tools or Streaming, test the specific feature you need rather than assuming everything works because the homepage loads. Account permissions, regional service rules, and the destination website’s status can also affect results.

If a site won’t load, retrace your steps in order: confirm the plan is active and the subscription updated, then make sure the configuration is enabled, a route is selected, and connection permissions are granted. On desktop, check that the system proxy is on; on mobile, check that the system hasn’t stopped the connection. Close other proxy or VPN apps to avoid conflicting network settings. After making a change, test the same page again so you can compare like for like. Don’t change the route, mode, and configuration all at once, or you won’t know what fixed the issue.

If the client shows a connection but a particular site still has problems, try another route and note whether the issue occurs while loading the page, signing in, or using a specific feature. For more about protocols, packet loss, and peak-hour congestion, see the protocol and route technical reference. This guide covers importing your subscription and establishing a basic connection; you don’t need to understand every network setting to get started.

Once you’ve verified the connection, keep using the current configuration for everyday browsing. Update your subscription in the client when the route list changes, and follow the same client download and import steps for new devices. VPNKC supports unlimited devices online at the same time; keep an eye on your remaining data and monthly subscription reset date. If an issue persists, open a ticket through the user dashboard and include your platform, client message, what happened, and the steps you’ve already tried. Hide your account password and subscription link in screenshots so support can investigate the issue with the right context.
